The C-Las in combination with the revolutionary Diamond Laser Scalpel (DLS) allows significantly more precise cutting with coagulation at the wound. Laser light is transmitted through a fibre optic cable into the DLS and thus delivered to the incision.

The new method enables 'gentle' coagulation that results in significantly reduced bleeding and less damage to tissue.

The DLS was designed to have the same tactile feeling as a steel scalpel. When cutting with the DLS and concurrent emission of low laser energy, the surrounding body water is heated to only 60°C in comparison to 100°C when using a free beam laser hand piece.

Due to only 0.15mm of denatured tissue caused by the DLS, incisions heal faster and generate better postoperative results.
